Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane spoke about the possibility of making a trade, and whether it's something he's actively looking to do.

Brandon Beane has never shied away from his aggressiveness. The longtime Buffalo Bills general manager has been known to target big moves that he feels will improve his team.

Whether it was the deal for Stefon Diggs in 2020, the trade for DJ Moore in March, or the discussions for Maxx Crosby, there's nothing that appears to be off the table for Beane. And that includes what's coming up this week.

The 2026 NFL Draft runs from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, and the Bills have some work to do. The team has seven picks in this year's draft, but only two in the first 125. Still, it doesn't seem to stop Beane from, at least, considering what trades can be made.

"A trade? You know I'll always listen," Beane said while speaking to the media on Monday. "Obviously, we have our pick in one; we don't have the two, which we got DJ for. Yeah, we'll see what's there, and we'll also, as always, it's no different—even if I had three twos, if someone's offering me something that made sense to go back, we'd do that."

Beane added that it's harder to move up this year with the assets the team has, but "never say never" on that idea.

As mentioned, Buffalo only has two picks in the first 125 selections this year. It's foreign territory for a team with a few big holes to fill on the roster. For Beane, while he'd like to have more, it's about making it work with what the team has at their disposal.

"Listen, you want all your picks," he said. "You want to be selective when you do [trade away picks for players], but we just felt, in most drafts and especially in this draft, we just didn't feel like there's going to be a player of DJ's caliber to trade that two."

With the picks they do have, Beane says, they know they have to fill some needs and get good players that can contribute either as starters or rotational backups. They still have the capital, he believes, to improve the roster on both sides of the ball.
