The Buffalo Bills close the 2025 regular season at home against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, and CBS has announced who will be calling the action.
The network revealed that Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, Jason McCourty, and AJ Ross will be on the call for the final regular season game at Highmark Stadium.
It's the third time this season that Catalon, Davis, McCourty, and Ross have called a Bills game. The first game back in Week 4 when Buffalo hosted the New Orleans Saints. That was a game the Bills won 31-19 to move to 4-0 on the season. The second was Buffalo's surprising 30-13 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.
For Catalon, him calling the, likely, last game in the history of the 52-year-old stadium is a fitting send off. Since 2015, the 46-year-old broadcaster has been the play-by-play voice of the Bills during the preseason.
This week's game is important for a number of reasons. Not only is it the last game at the current Highmark Stadium, but it also will see the return of Buffalo's red helmets. The Bills haven't worn a red helmet since 2010. The design they are wearing this week are specifically paying homage to the ones worn during the Bills Super Bowl-era teams of the 1990s.
Aside from the sentimental values of the upcoming game, there are playoff implications as well. Entering Week 18, the 11-5 Bills are the 7th seed in the AFC playoff race. That means, if the season ended today, a trip to New England to open the postseason. However, Buffalo, with a win, could jump to either the fifth or sixth seed.
To do that, however, they'd need losses, in some way, by the Los Angeles Chargers and/or Houston Texans. Houston faces the Indianapolis Colts with a chance to win the AFC South with a win and a Jaguars loss. The Chargers, on the other hand, are playing solely for seeding against the Denver Broncos. A Chargers win paired with a New England win, however, would knock the Broncos to, at least, the No. 2 seed.
Should the Bills win and still find themselves in 7th, not only does it guarantee one of the tougher opening-round matchups, but it'll mean that there won't be any more games played at the long-time stadium.
The Bills and Jets are scheduled to kick off at 4:25PM ET.
