The Buffalo Bills are under major pressure next season.
NFL reporter Ben Arthur of Fox Sports believes the Buffalo Bills' biggest question entering the summer involves "new leadership."
Buffalo elevated Joe Brady from offensive coordinator to head coach after the firing of Sean McDermott, and defensively, new DC Jim Leonhard is transitioning the unit to a 3-4 scheme.
In Year 1 of the Brady era, the Bills will face the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Dolphins and Jets.
Buffalo had a great offseason. The front office acquired D.J. Moore from the Bears and signed Bradley Chubb and C.J. Gardner-Johnson in free agency.
The Bills have yet to reach the Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era. That has to change soon.
Otherwise, Allen will never be considered an all-time great.
The 2024 MVP, Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season. The Pro Bowler enters next season with 30,102 passing yards, 220 passing touchdowns, 4,721 rushing yards and 79 career rushing touchdowns.
"Still respecting the past and what's been here the last 10 years and not shying away from that, but also having his own twist on it," Allen said after Brady was named HC. "It's been really good to see him embrace the role and step into it. The way that he talks to the guys, you can tell he's very well respected with everybody in that locker room, and it's only going to continue to grow in my opinion."
It will be fascinating to see if Allen and the Bills can reach the promised land next season. Time is running out on Allen to win a title.
After all, he's not getting any younger.
"I've said this 100 times, and you're gonna hear me another 100 times saying it. I want Josh Allen to get everything he deserves in this life, in this career. He puts so much into this game, and that all I want is for him to be holding what he deserves," Brady said.
