Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady provided a big health update on QB Josh Allen.
The Buffalo Bills' best player is ready to go.
During an interview with Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, new Bills head coach Joe Brady said QB Josh Allen has no lingering effects from the foot surgery he had two months ago.
He's good to go," Brady said. "The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he's playing as if you think there's nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk and then he's playing games and it's not impacting [his play]. He's built different.
"And let's hope it continues that way, but he'll be good to go in the offseason. I talk with him regularly. He's just excited to get going with guys like D.J. Moore, kind of figure out what it's going to look like, just this new kind of era."
Allen had right foot surgery after the 2025 season ended. The surgery was done on a broken bone in his foot.
The 2024 MVP, Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season. The future Hall of Famer enters next season with 30,102 passing yards, 220 passing touchdowns, 4,721 rushing yards and 79 career rushing touchdowns.
Allen is one of the top players in the NFL, but he has yet to guide the Bills to the Super Bowl.
"As much success as we've had over the last eight to nine seasons, we still haven't been able to get the main job done," Allen said after Brady was hired as HC. "So again, what does that look like? Who's involved in those decisions of what it looks like? But I truly believe in the direction of this organization, starting from the top. And I think that, again, whatever Joe needs from me I'm going to do. And I think that it's the right decision for this organization."
The Bills made a blockbuster trade this offseason, acquiring WR D.J. Moore from the Chicago Bears. Moore has played for the Carolina Panthers and Bears. He enters next season with 608 receptions, 8,213 receiving yards and 41 receiving touchdowns in the NFL.
It will be fascinating to see how far the Bills go next season in Year 1 of the Brady era.
