Fans can secure free tickets for an exclusive open practice this August, offering the general public a first look at the team’s summer preparations inside Highmark Stadium.

The Buffalo Bills have announced what it plans to do for fans this summer at the new Highmark Stadium.

While the Return of the Blue & Red scrimmage was known to be happening on August 8, the team also announced a second non-game event at the stadium. On Tuesday, August 18, the Bills will host an open practice for the general public.

This comes after it was revealed that the Return of the Red & Blue would be for season-ticket holders only. For the last number of years, the event was general admission and open to everyone.

"We know how excited our fans are to see Highmark Stadium," Pete Guelli, Bills president of business operations, said via release.

"The Return of the Blue & Red practice will continue to be offered to season ticket members first as it has in past years. However, with an increase demand for the event we have added an additional practice on August 18th that will be open to the public. We look forward to giving as many of our Bills fans as possible an opportunity to see the new stadium."

The Bills say that tickets for the Return of the Blue & Red will be sent to ticket holders through the Bills app. However, those who can't attend will not be permitted to resell the tickets, something many fans were worried about.

Regarding tickets for the open practice on August 18, the organization says that they'll be available via Ticketmaster starting July 21 at 10am. There is no cost for the tickets, but fans will be limited to just four seats per order.

The Bills open training camp at St. John Fisher University in suburban Rochester, NY on July 29. The team's first preseason game is August 15 at Highmark Stadium against the Carolina Panthers. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.
