To say that the 2025 NFL season ended in disappointment for the Buffalo Bills would be an understatement.
At the beginning of the year, the Bills were heavily picked to win the Super Bowl. Led by superstar quarterback Josh Allen with a multitude of talented players around him, the sky was the limit for Buffalo.
Unfortunately, the Super Bowl run did not end up happening for the Bills. Instead, they made a run to the AFC Division Round of the playoffs before being eliminated by the Denver Broncos. For Allen and company, it was just another season of frustration.
While it's easy to get lost in that frustration, the show must go on. Buffalo will need to turn its attention to improving this offseason and getting ready to make another run in 2026.
That being said, Bills Mafia has been given another reason for excitement about next season.
Melina Myers-Imagn ImagesBleacher Report's Brad Gagnon has named the Bills as the fourth biggest threat to the Seattle Seahawks to win it all next season.
"Incoming DC Jim Leonhard can bolster a defense that remains quite talented, but the cap-strapped Bills are likely to take some hits in free agency and the offensive line could be hit by a loss of continuity," Gagnon wrote. "Too much may be falling on Allen, who also faces mounting pressure over his big-game letdowns. But they still may be the best by default in a transitioning AFC."
In order to reach those expectations, Buffalo needs to focus on adding more talent around Allen. The Bills will need to bring in a legitimate No. 1 wideout for their star quarterback. There will also be help needed on the defensive side of the ball.
It's impossible to argue against the fact that Buffalo should be viewed as a Super Bowl contender. The Bills' window is still wide open, but it's time for Brandon Beane and the front office to go all-in.
Hopefully, with an aggressive offseason, Buffalo can finally live up to the hype in 2026 and win a championship. If the Bills are unable to do so, they'll take one dangerous step closer to missing out on what has been a wide open chance to bring a title home.
