It appears the Buffalo Bills will keep Keon Coleman.
The Buffalo Bills have been predicted to keep Keon Coleman despite the WR being in trade rumors.
ESPN Bills reporter Alaina Getzenberg thinks Brandon Beane and Co. will hold firm "on Coleman remaining in Buffalo."
"While the Bills would be intrigued by Walder's offer from the Falcons, the team is holding firm on Coleman remaining in Buffalo and rejecting all four offers. Coleman has said he understands what is on the line this season, and the Bills are currently committed to giving him this chance. Whether it can all come together in Buffalo, however, is still a big question."
Coleman's first two seasons in Buffalo have been underwhelming. He has 67 receptions for 960 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns.
Speculation has swirled around Coleman's standing with the team after Bills owner Terry Pegula voluntarily spoke about him after the firing of former head coach Sean McDermott. Pegula said Buffalo's previous coaching staff "pushed to draft" Coleman with the 33rd pick in 2024, but Beane clarified that he "made the pick."
"Keon, it's not lip service," Beane said. "We're excited about Keon."
Coleman knows how important the 2026 season is for him. He told reporters a few weeks ago that it's essentially a "make or break" campaign.
"For me, it's make or break," Coleman said. "[If you are] s---, you might not be here. Simple as that, [simply] put, man. ... I know what I'm capable of. So, if I fall anything short of that, I'm doing myself a disservice and my team. ... Getting benched four games, some s--- like that. Unacceptable. Ended off on a decent note, had a touchdown [in the playoffs], so that was -- I wouldn't even call that a confidence boost, it was just a positive to end the season on. But we lost. So, that was another negative to erase that. But, I mean, I don't need self-motivation, though. I know what I am here to do and what I am capable of doing."
The Bills promoted OC Joe Brady to head coach. Brady called Coleman the night before the coach's introductory news conference and Coleman described it as "a great talk."
If something dramatically shifted, a post-June 1 Coleman trade would create $1.7 million in cap space and under $2.2 million in 2027. However, it appears the Bills want to see what the WR can do with Brady at the helm.
