The Buffalo Bills just added an NFL champion.

The Buffalo Bills' aggressive offseason continues.

On Thursday, Brandon Beane and Co. signed one-time NFL champion C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a one-year, $6 million deal.

Gardner-Johnson was teammates with D.J. Moore last season on the Chicago Bears.

Gardner-Johnson won Super Bowl LIX with the Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Houston Texans and Bears last season, racking up two interceptions, 46 solo tackles, five tackles for loss and 6 QB hits. In 2022 with the Eagles, Gardner-Johnson led the NFL with six interceptions. He has 20 career interceptions with the New Orleans Saints, Eagles, Detroit Lions and Bears. The veteran didn't record an interception with the Texans.

The Bills lost to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round last season. They have yet to reach the Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era, which began in 2018.

Sean McDermott was fired as head coach and replaced by OC Joe Brady, who has a close relationship with Allen. The Bills were fourth in the NFL in points per game last season and 12th in points per game allowed.

Buffalo recorded 13 interceptions last season. That number should be higher in 2026 with Gardner-Johnson in the fold.
