Tyreek Hill is a free agent for the first time, and there are some wondering if he would be a fit for the Buffalo Bills.
Could Cheetah be an option for the Buffalo Bills at wide receiver?
Tyreek Hill is a free agent for the first time in his career, and many have suggested that the Bills could be an option for the 10-year veteran. It's become so talked about that even President of Football Operations Brandon Beane and head coach Joe Brady are being asked about it in interviews.
But how likely is it that Buffalo becomes a serious possibility for Hill? Well, if you listen to their responses, it sounds like it's not a move that'll happen.
In an interview with Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk and NBC Sports, Beane didn't fully rule it out. However, he didn't sound like someone too excited about the idea.
"We're always doing due diligence," Beane said. "That's not going to stop (with) any player. That guy is a heck of a player; what he's done. I know he had a tough injury, and those facts will continue to garner interest across a lot of teams.
"Beyond that, there's really not a lot more to it."
The soon-to-be 32-year-old Hill played in just four games for the Miami Dolphins last season after suffering a knee injury in Week 4. He underwent surgery right after to repair multiple ligaments in his knee, as well as a dislocation.
Knowing what the injury was and the recovery time he'd still need moving forward, it's doubtful that Buffalo would want to commit to a player that may not play until later in the season, if at all. Still, when he was asked about it, Brady didn't fully close the door on it.
"We are going to approach everybody the same," Brady said. "If you're a free agent, you're a draft pick...I told the scouts in the college process, 'Look, let's not eliminate anybody. Let's look at it.'
"Brandon Beane is our general manager. He understands how to build a roster and how to put together and handle the salary cap."
