Darius Slay won't play for the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills claimed veteran CB Darius Slay off waivers.

However, Slay won't report to the Bills.

"Slay is honored that a first-class organization like the Bills claimed him, but he is going to take some time away from football right now and decide in the next few days if he wants to keep playing," Slay's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Some people around the NFL believe Slay wants to play for his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles put in a claim for Slay as well.

Slay helped Philadelphia win the Super Bowl last season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers cut Slay after 10 games. Slay recorded zero interceptions, 28 solo tackles and one tackle for loss.

A six-time Pro Bowler, Slay has played for the Detroit Lions, Eagles and Steelers. He has 28 interceptions and three touchdowns in his career.

The Bills are 8-4 after beating the Steelers last Sunday. They are in second place in the AFC East and currently hold the final Wild Card playoff spot.

The Bills face the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Eagles and New York Jets to close out the regular season.

The Bengals, Browns and Jets are below .500, so Buffalo should win those games.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have the best record in the NFL and the Eagles are atop the NFC East.
