The Buffalo Bills have long been rumored to be getting a new alternative jersey for the 2026 NFL Season, and it may have just leaked online.
For the last 15 years, the Buffalo Bills uniform combination has stayed pretty consistent. The team has rocked a primary look of blue and white jerseys with the white helmet since leaving the red helmet in 2011.
Over the years, they've worn some alternates. There is the classic 1960s throwback that they've worn on and off for years, as well as the "Color Rush" red jerseys. Then, in 2025, they debuted the snow-themed rivalry jerseys, and brought back the red helmet for the final game at the old Highmark Stadium.
But now, as Buffalo gets set to move into their new $2 billion stadium, there are rumors that the team is going to also debut a new alternative look for the upcoming NFL season. And though it's been quiet, a new leak might have given fans a peek as to what the Bills could be thinking.
An Instagram account, which has gone private or been removed, that leaked the recently unveiled Tennessee Titans' new jerseys, posted what appears to be a new silver uniform for Buffalo.
Buffalo Bills rumored silver jersey that has leaked online. Credit: second_ngorexThis jersey, which SportsLogos.net has confirmed with their sources as legitimate, takes Buffalo's nickname as the "Nickel City" to another level.
The main base of the jersey is a silverish-gray or nickel-like color with dark gray stripes on the sleeves. The numbers are royal blue with white and red outlines, and the inside of the blue collar reads "Go Bills".
Lastly, the team's logo sits as a patch on the left side of the chest near the shoulder.
Sportslogos also claims that the team will wear silver pants, similar to last season's rivalry uniform.
Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed by the team. Still, if and when the team officially reveals the uniform, it's going to certainly be divisive among fans.
The biggest question, however, will be the helmet that is worn with it. Rumors have also been circulating that the team is considering a silver or blue helmet as well, though that has yet to leak or be revealed.
While silver is going to cause some headscratching from fans, it's not all that crazy to think about. During the team's first two seasons in the AFL, Buffalo wore uniforms inspired by the Detroit Lions, including a silver helmet with blue numbers.
