ESPN has come through with an interesting trade suggestion involving the Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons.
The Buffalo Bills have seemingly improved throughout the 2026 NFL offseason. After coming up short in the playoffs again last season, there was a sense of urgency from Brandon Beane and the front office this offseason.
Among the notable offseason additions were wide receiver DJ Moore, pass rusher Bradley Chubb, and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
With that being said, there still remains a question that needs to be answered. Keon Coleman has been mentioned in a lot of trade rumors this offseason, but still remains on the roster.
There is a decent chance that the Bills will simply head into the 2026 season with Coleman in town. Giving him one more chance would make a lot of sense after investing the No. 33 overall pick on him in the 2024 NFL Draft.
ESPN recently weighed in with some trade suggestions for Buffalo and Coleman. One of those suggestions would see him ending up with the Atlanta Falcons.
In that trade scenario, the Bills would send Coleman to the Falcons, along with a 2028 sixth-round pick, in exchange for Atlanta's fourth-round selection in 2028.
"The Falcons are a logical fit because of where they are as a team -- starting over at head coach and GM, with long-term uncertainty at quarterback," ESPN wrote.
"They can afford to take a shot on Coleman's upside, and he would immediately add value to a receivers room that doesn't feature much after Drake London (Olamide Zaccheaus, Jahan Dotson and third-round pick Zachariah Branch). And if Coleman breaks out in Year 3, the Falcons would have him under contract for 2027, too."
Coleman has shown some flashes throughout his first two seasons in Buffalo. Unfortunately, those flashes have not turned into consistency.
He has played in 26 games throughout his first two years. In those appearances, the 23-year-old wide receiver has caught 67 passes for 960 yards and eight touchdowns.
At the end of the day, the Bills have options. Coleman could still work things out and turn his career around. Perhaps the change at head coach from Sean McDermott to Joe Brady will be helpful for him.
Expect to continue hearing rumors and speculation about the young wideout. For now, he remains in Buffalo and it might stay that way. Or, the Bills could still choose to trade him and give both parties a fresh start.
