A new UFL season is underway, and here's a full, easy-to-follow list of former Buffalo Bills players now on UFL rosters and when they were in Buffalo.

Spring football always feels a little more fun when you recognize names, and that’s definitely the case this year in the United Football League (UFL).

For Buffalo Bills fans, there’s a long list of familiar faces scattered across UFL rosters. In fact, there are 20 of them. Most of them came through Buffalo recently, especially during the 2024 and 2025 offseasons, when the team cycled through a large group of players during training camp.

Some were there for a few weeks, while others stuck around longer. Now, they’re getting another shot in the UFL.

Here are all the former Bills players currently in the UFL, and when they played in Buffalo.

Wide receivers

This is where the largest group shows up, with six former Bills receivers currently on UFL rosters.

  • Deon Cain – Had three separate stints with the Bills during training camps in both 2024 and 2025. He was also on the practice squad for just about a month in 2024. Now, he's with the Birmingham Stallions.
  • Laviska Shenault Jr. – Signed in March 2025, released at final cuts that summer. Like Cain, he is with the Stallions.
  • K.J. Hamler – Part of the 2024 and 2025 offseason rosters, including practice squad time. He currently plays for the Orlando Storm.
  • Lawrence Keys III – Now with the Houston Gamblers, Keys signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
  • Kaden Prather – Drafted in the 7th round in 2025, but released that summer. He signed with the Louisville Kings this year.
  • Gary Jennings Jr. – Was a part of the practice squad for less than a week in 2020. Currently plays for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

Tight ends

Of the tight ends on the list, only one spent any considerable time with Buffalo. He even played in some games due to injury.

  • TE Zach Davidson – With Buffalo on and off from 2022-2024, and played a few games to fill in for an injured Dalton Kincaid. Currently with Louisville.
  • TE Armani Rodgers – A Buffalo native, he was with the Bills in the winter of 2025 but was released with an injury designation. Now with the Gamblers.
  • TE Tre' McKitty – With the Bills in 2023, and players with Lousiville
  • TE Jalen Wydermyer – Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022, and now plays for Louisville.

Offensive line and running back

While not as common as tight end and receiver, there's one former Bills lineman who became a depth option for the team over the last few years.

  • OL Richard Gouraige – Spent the better part of three seasons with the Bills, even being called up to the active roster in 2024. After being released on January 6, 2026, Gouraige was selected by the Battlehawks.
  • OL Mike Edwards – With the Bills in 2025, and is now with Orlando.
  • RB Jarveon Howard – Playing for St. Louis now, Howard was on Buffalo's roster for one day.

Defense

Of all the former Bills to be in the UFL, this is the group that has, arguably, the biggest name for Bills fans.

  • DE Boogie Basham – Second-round pick in 2021, spent two seasons with Buffalo, but never became the player they needed. Plays for the DC Defenders.
  • S Tre Norwood – He was with the Bills' practice squad for two months in 2023 and now plays for Birmingham.
  • CB Cameron Dantzler – Another 2023 training camp player, Dantzler is with the Kings.
  • LB DaShaun White – White signed with the Bills in 2023 after playing for Michigan in the then-USFL. He was released at the end of camp and is now with the Storm.
  • DE Casey Rogers – Spent the 2025 training camp with Buffalo, and signed with DC this season.

Special teams

Even special teams is represented by Buffalo.

  • P Brad Robbins – Was Buffalo's punter for the opening game of 2025 before being released. He's currently with the Columbus Aviators.
  • P Jack Browning – Signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2024, but was released during training camp.

More than anything, this list is a reminder of how much movement there is behind the scenes in the NFL and what there is still out there for players.

The UFL has become a real second opportunity for those who were right on the edge of making a roster. For a lot of these guys, Buffalo was just one stop, but it shows how close they were.

And for fans, it makes the UFL a little more interesting. There’s a good chance you’ll turn on a game and recognize a name from just last training camp.
