Josh Allen leads the 2026 MVP betting odds for AFC quarterbacks, but Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Justin Herbert are all within striking distance.
Josh Allen enters the 2026 season as the leader in the AFC MVP betting market, but the gap between the Buffalo Bills quarterback and the rest of the conference is tight enough that this is shaping up to be another competitive race.
Allen sits at the top of the board at roughly +550 to +600 depending on the sportsbook. That puts him as the current favorite, but not by a wide margin.
Right behind him is Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson at +650 to +750. That keeps Baltimore’s quarterback firmly in the same tier as Allen, with very little daylight between the two.
Joe Burrow sits next at +800 to +1000. When healthy, Burrow is always a factor in the MVP race and is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Those odds reflect both his production profile and the question marks around Cincinnati’s consistency over a full season.
Drake Maye is right in that same second tier at +850 to +1200. After New England’s 2025 division title and Super Bowl run, the market clearly sees him as a legitimate MVP-level quarterback if the Patriots stay near the top of the AFC East again in 2026.
Justin Herbert follows at +900 to +1100, staying in the mix as a quarterback who can post big numbers and quickly move up the board if the Chargers hit their stride and win at a high level.
Patrick Mahomes rounds out the group at +1000 to +1200, which is still very much within striking distance for a player who is always part of the MVP conversation when Kansas City is competitive at the top of the AFC. His odds would likely be better if he wasn't coming off of a torn ACL.
Taken together, the odds show a clear picture. Allen is the early favorite, but not in a runaway sense. The entire AFC quarterback group is clustered tightly behind him, with multiple players sitting within a narrow range that could shift quickly based on team success and early-season performance.
This isn’t a one-man race at the top of the board. It’s a crowded one, with Allen simply holding the first position in line.
