The Bills quarterback dashed from the golf course to the practice field, raising over $600,000 for a local children's hospital before returning to lead his team.

The Buffalo Bills began another week of organized team activities on Tuesday, and the team's franchise quarterback took part in the practice, as expected. But what might have been unexpected was Allen pulling double duty on Tuesday for a good cause.
To benefit the Patricia Allen Fund at the Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) of Buffalo, Allen took part in the annual 117 Holes For Children's event at the Crag Burn Golf Club in East Aurora, NY. Allen was only able to play 20 of the 117 holes before leaving, but he, along with dozens of other golfers, has raised over $600,000 as of writing for the hospital.
Allen then left the event to be in Orchard Park on time for the team's practice at 12:45 pm. He's then planning to return for the end of the event on Tuesday night.
The Patricia Allen Fund, which raises money to help the critical care team at GCH Buffalo, began in support of Josh Allen's grandmother in 2020. Over 30,000 fans donated in $17 increments, surpassing $1 million by the end of 2020.
Since the founding of the fund nearly six years ago, the money raised for the Patricia Allen Fund has helped hundreds of children get treatment and care for a variety of ailments. Over 700 children were able to be transferred to the hospital for care, and the money helped fund the care for thousands of pediatric intensive care patients.
What started as a token of gratitude by thousands of fans, has turned into a way to help families who need it the most. It's a reminder that life may be bigger than sports, but sports can help spark the changes we see in life the most.
