Josh Allen Receives Major Ranking Ahead Of 2025 Season cover image

Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen received a major ranking after his MVP campaign.

Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen won his first MVP award in the 2024 season and is well respected across the league. However, Allen was ranked third on the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2025 behind Saquon Barkley and Lamar Jackson.

Surprisingly, the reigning MVP wasn't voted the NFL's top player, but he is poised for another great season. In 2024, Allen completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on 102 rushing attempts.

Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and will look to lead Buffalo on a deep run in 2025.

The Bills have won five straight AFC East titles behind Allen, but they have yet to make it to the Super Bowl. Allen has come close twice, having lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in the 2020 and 2024 seasons.

The 29-year-old quarterback signed a six-year $330 million contract extension with the Bills this offseason.

With the long-term commitment in place, Allen is now tasked with elevating Buffalo to the Super Bowl.

The core of the Bills' offense remains the same as the 2024 season, with the addition of wide receiver Josh Palmer. Palmer inked a three-year $29 million deal after spending his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the 2024 season, Palmer hauled in 39 receptions for 584 yards and a touchdown. He proved to be a reliable weapon for Justin Herbert. The 25-year-old wideout will complement Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox.

While Palmer should be a solid addition, the major news for the Bills' offense is the contract extension of running back James Cook. Cook was holding out as he entered the final year of his rookie deal, but came to a four-year $46 million contract.

The 25-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, rushing for 1,009 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

With some talented weapons in place, Allen is poised to be a contender for the MVP award once again. However, Allen and the Bills' main goal is to finally advance past the AFC Title Game and make their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994.
