Buffalo Bills DL Ed Oliver was bashed by an NFL analyst.
NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report took a shot at Buffalo Bills DL Ed Oliver.
Gagnon thinks Oliver is the Bills' most overpaid player.
"It was a toss-up between Oliver and Greg Rousseau, neither of whom has lived up to hefty contracts. Oliver is a 28-year-old zero-time Pro Bowler who missed almost the entire 2025 season but has a $17 million average annual value, while Rousseau is a good-not-great edge who has never registered more than eight sacks in his five NFL seasons but makes $20 million a year."
Oliver played in only three games for the Bills last season due to injuries. He had three sacks, 10 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss and five QB hits.
Oliver has been with the Bills since 2019. He has 30 career sacks, 154 solo tackles, 56 tackles for loss and 76 QB hits. He's never made a Pro Bowl.
The Bills signed Oliver to a four-year, $68 million extension in 2023. Buffalo converted $12.8 million of Oliver's base salary into a signing bonus, adding two void years and clearing $10.3 million of cap.
Oliver better have a huge 2026 season for the Bills. If he doesn't, he might get cut next offseason.
Buffalo lost to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round of the 2026 playoffs. The Bills have yet to reach the Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era.
The 2024 MVP, Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season. He had right foot surgery after the season ended. The surgery was done on a broken bone in his foot.
The Bills fired Sean McDermott as head coach and promoted Joe Brady to HC.
