A blockbuster NFL trade idea sending a five-time Pro Bowler to the Buffalo Bills has been created.
NFL writer Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report proposed that the Bills trade for Las Vegas Raiders superstar Maxx Crosby this offseason.
Buffalo Gets: DE Maxx Crosby
Las Vegas Gets: 2026 1st-round pick, 2026 4th-round pick, 2027 1st-round pick, WR Joshua Palmer
The Raiders placed Crosby on injured reserve, a move he's not happy about. Some people around the NFL believe the five-time Pro Bowler could request a trade this offseason.
"The Buffalo Bills have already secured a playoff spot, but they should be looking to add win-now talent for as long as their Super Bowl window remains open," Knox wrote. "The Bills have recently gone the aging veteran pass-rusher route, adding Von Miller in 2022 and Joey Bosa this past offseason. Perhaps it's time they target a premier pass-rusher in his prime, like Crosby. Bosa, for the record, ranks second among Bills defenders with five sacks.
"Crosby would pair with Bills' sack-leader Gregory Rousseau to form a terrific pass-rushing tandem. That duo would help Buffalo battle the New England Patriots for AFC East supremacy."
Going from the Raiders to the Bills would be a great move for Crosby since Buffalo is a Super Bowl contender. However, the Raiders can trade Crosby anywhere if he requests a trade since he doesn't have a no-trade clause.
Crosby finishes this season with 10.0 sacks, 45 solo tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 20 QB hits. He's one of the greatest defenders in NFL history.
Entering next season, Crosby will have 69.5 career sacks, 278 solo tackles, 133 tackles for loss and 164 QB hits.
"My job is to be the best defensive end in the world, and that's what I focus on every day, and being a great leader and being an influence," Crosby said. "That's [the front office's] job. But that's got nothing to do with me."
If the Bills fall short of winning the Super Bowl again this season, Brandon Beane should think about going all-out to get Crosby.
