The Buffalo Bills are interested in adding a four-time Pro Bowler.
Who is the player? It's former Cincinnati Bengals star Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson is an unrestricted free agent. He won't be re-signing with the Bengals, ending his five-year run in Cincinnati.
One of the top pass rushers in the NFL, Hendrickson appeared in only seven games last season. He finished with four sacks, 11 solo tackles, three tackles for loss and eight QB hits.
The 31-year-old Hendrickson has been in the NFL since 2017. He has played for the New Orleans Saints and Bengals. The one-time All-Pro has 81 sacks, 162 solo tackles, 74 tackles for loss and 163 QB hits in his career.
Buffalo racked up 37.0 sacks as a team last season. Imagine how high that number would be next season with Hendrickson in the fold.
The Bills lost to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round of the 2026 NFL playoffs. Sean McDermott was fired as head coach and replaced by OC Joe Brady.
QB Josh Allen is one of the top players in the NFL, but he has yet to guide the Bills to the Super Bowl.
"As much success as we've had over the last eight to nine seasons, we still haven't been able to get the main job done," Allen said after Brady was hired as HC. "So again, what does that look like? Who's involved in those decisions of what it looks like? But I truly believe in the direction of this organization, starting from the top. And I think that, again, whatever Joe needs from me I'm going to do. And I think that it's the right decision for this organization."
Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season. The one-time MVP had right foot surgery after the season ended. The surgery was done on a broken bone in his foot.
It will be fascinating to see if Allen and Hendrickson become teammates soon.
