The Buffalo Bills have been busy.

One day after trading for Chicago Bears WR D.J. Moore, the Buffalo Bills have released an offensive weapon.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bills are releasing WR Curtis Samuel.

Samuel appeared in only six games last season for the Bills. He finished with seven catches for 81 yards and one touchdown.

Samuel finishes his Buffalo career with 38 receptions for 334 yards and two touchdowns. He's now an unrestricted free agent.

Moore finished his Chicago career with 244 catches for 3,012 yards and 20 TD catches. He had 50 catches last season for 682 yards and six touchdowns.

Buffalo lost to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round of the 2026 NFL playoffs. Josh Allen is one of the best QBs in the league, but he still hasn't been to the Super Bowl.

The Bills promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach after parting ways with Sean McDermott. It will be fascinating to see if Brady and Allen can reach the promised land together.

McDermott went 98-50 in the regular season and 8-8 in the playoffs with Buffalo. He was hired by the franchise in 2017.

The Bills finished below .500 only once under McDermott. The 51-year-old will not coach during the 2026 season.

Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns in 2025. The one-time MVP had right foot surgery after the season ended. The surgery was done on a broken bone in his foot.

Allen is looking forward to working with Brady next season.

"As much success as we've had over the last eight to nine seasons, we still haven't been able to get the main job done," Allen said. "So again, what does that look like? Who's involved in those decisions of what it looks like? But I truly believe in the direction of this organization, starting from the top. And I think that, again, whatever Joe needs from me I'm going to do. And I think that it's the right decision for this organization."
