The Buffalo Bills could be airing its games on a different radio station for the first time in over a decade after it announces major production changes.
The Buffalo Bills are going to have a new home for their programming for the 2026 season and beyond.
The team announced that, starting February 9, WGR-AM 550 in Buffalo will no longer be the official radio home of the Buffalo Bills. That means the local show One Bills Live will no longer broadcast on the station. That also goes for Rochester affiliate station 950-AM.
Instead, the show will begin "streaming exclusively" on BuffaloBills.com and in the Buffalo Bills app. Those who had been listening to the show on the radio will no longer have that option.
"The delivery of media content has changed dramatically over the years," Pete Guelli, Bills President of Business Operations, said in a press release. "We believe the model of in-house production, distribution, and sales will better position the organization to provide access to our fans as well as allow us to further engage with the local business community."
While not confirmed, the Buffalo News reports that the Buffalo Sabres will also be leaving the station in an official partnership capacity.
As far as for broadcasting of the games, the Bills say that they will start producing and distributing the radio broadcasts in house moving forward. Those will then be broadcast on various affiliate stations, though the team hasn't announced what those stations would be.
As far as pregame and postgame coverage, that wasn't touched on. WGR, per the Buffalo News report, is planning to continue pregame and postgame broadcasts as well as add even more Bills coverage to the station.
Ultimately, it's possible that WGR will still air the games, though all options are on the table regarding what stations will have the broadcast rights in Western New York, including potential changes to the gameday broadcast team.
Bills Roundtable also offers a fan community and message board. We’d love to have you join us to talk all things Bills. Click the “Join” button at the top of the page to join our community for free.
