Buffalo faces a short-handed roster in Los Angeles as injuries sideline Ed Oliver and Joshua Palmer, forcing rookie Skyler Bell into the spotlight for a high-stakes showdown.

If the Buffalo Bills are going to pull off what some would call an upset against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, they're going to have to do it without at least two oft-injured players.

The team announced Saturday afternoon that both wide receiver Joshua Palmer and defensive lineman Ed Oliver will miss Monday's game in Los Angeles.

For Oliver, he sits with a knee injury he suffered late in Buffalo's 29-26 loss against New England last week. He was a non-participant in practice all week, making his absence likely.

Palmer, on the other hand, showed up on the injury report with a shoulder injury on Friday. He practiced in full on Thursday, appeared on the report as limited on Friday, and then didn't take part at all on Saturday. After that, it was confirmed that he'll sit.

With Palmer sitting, that means rookie Skyler Bell will draw into the lineup for the first time this season. Whether he has any substantial time on the field, however, remains to be seen.

Going back to the injuries, it's not just Palmer and Oliver who are dealing with issues.

Three more Bills are questionable for the Monday. Cornerback Dee Alford (ankle), defensive lineman Landon Jackson (knee), and wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) all have a chance to play, but will be game-time decisions. For Moore, he left last week's game early after aggravating the shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 2 against Detroit.

As for who will play, number one cornerback Christian Benford, who missed last week with a toe injury, carries no injury designation. That's a good sign for a return after being a full practice participant on Saturday.

Everyone else who was listed on the report during the week---Terrel Bernard, Bradley Chubb, Keon Coleman, and Ray Davis, among others---were full all week, and will play.

On the Rams side of things, only one player carries an injury designation. Safety Quentin Lake is questionable with a hip injury. Other players who've missed time, like DT Aaron Donald (back), tight end Colby Parkinson (knee/shoulder), and cornerback Jaylen Watson (shoulder), are all set to play on Monday.

One player who remains out is Myles Garrett, who remains on injured reserve for at least one more week.

The Bills and Rams kickoff at 8:15pm ET on Monday night with the game airing on ESPN and ABC. Bills Roundtable will have full coverage before, during, and after the game.
