Vikings Receiver Justin Jefferson Has High Praise For Bills' Joe Brady cover image

In a recent podcast appearance, Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson couldn't say enough good things about new Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady.

The hiring of Joe Brady as Buffalo Bills head coach has seen some mixed reactions. Around the team and city, Brady getting the job felt like the safe move to many.

Outside of the city and around the league, however, and Brady's hiring has been met with more positive reactions than not.

One such player who was happy to see him get the job is none other than Minnesota Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson.

During a recent appearance on USA Today's Sports Seriously podcast, Jefferson had nothing but nice things to say about Brady. He commended Brady for Buffalo's offensive production the last two years before speaking on how he helped him, specifically.

The 2020 first round pick out of LSU said that he and Brady "had so much fun together just building and working on our craft."

Jefferson even went as far to say that Brady's work as passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach was a big part of why he was a first-round draft pick.

"I feel like he was mostly the reason why I got picked first round," Jefferson said. "He’s the reason why my hands got better, why a lot of things occurred during that season, so I’m just proud of him to go from the Saints to LSU and now he’s back in the league, now he's about to be a head coach."

Jefferson added that seeing what's happened over the last six years was a "blessing" and that he's happy for him.

"I’m happy to see the different things he’ll do, especially, of course, with Josh Allen at quarterback," he said. "I’m excited to see how he carries that team and how he controls that team."

Hearing Jefferson's praise for Brady is something that Bills fans are going to hear, and hope that General Manager/President of Football Operations also hears. The Bills are going to need help at the wide receiver position, and Beane has been known to take a swing---see Stefon Diggs in 2020.

Whether a deal is in cards remains to be seen, but it wouldn't be surprising to find out they've at least attempted to make a move.

The likelihood of it happening, however, is slim.  Jefferson comes with a $38.99 million cap hit in 2026. And should the Vikings trade him, he'd have a dead cap hit of $46.46 million pre-June 1 and $13.49 million post-June 1.
