Dalton Kincaid's future with the Buffalo Bills is starting to become clearer.
The 2023 draft pick is entering his fourth year with Buffalo. Because of that, decisions have to be made regarding his contract.
Kincaid was taken 25th overall in the first round, meaning that on top of his four-year rookie deal, the Bills have the option to pick up a fifth-year option. And, based on comments from President of Football Operations and General Manager Brandon Beane, that seems like certainty.
"Dalton—he's one of those ones, as I think I've mentioned at one of my media sessions—at the right time, we'll knock that out at some point this spring," Beane told One Bills Live.
"The production that our offense has with him on the field, I think I figured out this season, it was like 7.1 points more the games he started versus the five that he missed."
Last season, Kincaid had 571 yards receiving while leading the Bills in touchdown receptions with five. In three years, he has 1,692 yards and nine touchdowns.
Despite his production, there is some concern about his health. Kincaid has yet to play a full season, and missed five games in 2025 with a knee injury that he dealt with all year.
Beane knows that, and knows that the biggest thing for both Kincaid and the team is to keep him healthy.
"The number one thing with Dalton is to see if we can get him in a healthier fashion this year so that we don't have to, A, miss games, and B, limit how much he's playing," Beane said. "And he's been very intentional about that as well."
The Bills have until May 1 to pick up Kincaid's fifth-year option, which Beane confirmed they will do. When it happens, his cap hit for 2027 will be $8.162 million. After that, work is likely to begin on locking up the 26-year-old long-term.
