NFL Draft season always sneaks up fast on fans and teams, and before long, the Buffalo Bills will be back on the clock with their selection.
The 2026 NFL Draft runs from April 23 to April 25 in Pittsburgh, sticking with the league’s usual three-day setup. Round 1 kicks things off Thursday night, Rounds 2 and 3 follow on Friday, and everything wraps up Saturday with Rounds 4 through 7. If you’re a Bills fan, that means three straight days of keeping one eye on the draft board and the other on your phone.
So where do the Bills fit into all of this?
Right now, Buffalo is set to pick late in the first round. Based on how the 2025 season shook out with the team going 12-5 and making it to the Divisional Round, the Bills are currently set to select at Pick No. 26 overall on Thursday night.
That puts them firmly in the “wait it out” portion of Round 1, where runs at certain positions can start to get interesting.
That spot also comes with options. The Bills can sit tight and see who falls to them, or they can move up if there’s someone they don’t want to risk losing. Or, as they've done a few times in recent years, they can trade back, pick up more draft picks, and attack Day 2 with more ammo.
It’s a range Buffalo’s front office has been comfortable operating in.
Beyond the first round, the Bills are expected to have a full slate of picks across the weekend. As things stand right now, Buffalo has seven picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Barring any trades, the Bills will be selecting in the following rounds (please note that these could change):
The Bills don't have a sixth-round pick in this year's draft. We also don't know if Buffalo will get a compensatory pick in this year's draft, though it's unlikely to happen.
As usual, the first round will get most of the attention, especially with the Bills having a new head coach in Joe Brady. However, with a number of holes to fill, the rest of the draft will be just as interesting for Brandon Beane and company.
With the draft dates locked in and Buffalo’s selections taking shape, it won’t be long now before the Bills’ offseason conversation shifts from free agency to who from the college ranks will be calling Buffalo home.
Bills Roundtable also offers a fan community and message board. We’d love to have you join us to talk all things Bills. Click the “Join” button at the top of the page to join our community for free.
