The new NFL league year has begun, and the Buffalo Bills have been busy in both the trade and free agent markets.
Things got started with the acquisition of wide receiver DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears. That was followed up by re-signing center Connor McGovern and bringing in a number of new faces on the defensive side of the ball.
But did these moves actually make the Bills a better team? Are they closer to a Super Bowl now than they were a year ago?
Join hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin for episode 22 of the Bills Roundtable Podcast as they talk about the moves the team made and if they've truly improved.
Just how good is Moore going to be for this team, and was the cost to get him fair?
What about defense?
Buffalo was in on both Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson, according to general manager Brandon Beane. It even got to the point with Crosby that the Bills were talking compensation with the Raiders. With Hendrickson, Beane admitted that Buffalo was interested, but knew they likely couldn't hit his asking price.
So, they signed Bradley Chubb to a somewhat team-friendly deal to play opposite Greg Rousseau. With Chubb in the mix, what can he bring to Buffalo that they haven't had in years?
Lastly, the defensive backfield has had a shakeup with the addition of players like Geno Stone and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Stone is coming off a rough season with the Cincinnati Bengals, while Gardner-Johnson is now on his fifth team in the last 12 months. Can they really bring something to the Bills defense that will prevent teams from scoring 25-30 points per game when it matters most in the playoffs?
With so many moves happening over the last week, it can be tough to keep up with everything. So, we've put together the list of all of the new additions to the Bills roster since the start of the 2026 league year.
