Josh Allen sizzles in the opener, a new veteran joins the defensive line, and the hosts debate the risks of joint practices as injuries mount in Orchard Park.

The 2026 preseason is underway, and the Buffalo Bills look good. How's it going everyone, and welcome to episode 44 of the Bills Roundtable Podcast.

The Bills began their preseason schedule last weekend with a 29-14 win over the Carolina Panthers, and the game wasn't close at any point. The starters on both sides of the ball looked to be in regular-season form, especially Josh Allen, DJ Moore, and the entire starting defense. But what really stood out to hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin about the first preseason game?

Also in this week's episode, the Bills have added a Super Bowl champion defensive tackle from Tampa Bay. Unfortunately for many Bills fans, it's not the Super Bowl champion defensive tackle from Tampa Bay that they wanted. But how much can Greg Gaines really help this team?

Elsewhere, the injury bug is hitting the Bills right now. With a number of starters on the sideline this week, should the team be worried or are they just taking extra precautions to make sure players are ready for Week 1 against the Houston Texans?
