Joe Brady launches a new era as Buffalo hunts for redemption against the Texans. Mike and Anthony break down depth charts, captain selections, and season-long playoff predictions.

Nearly eight months to the day since the Buffalo Bills last played a truly meaningful football game, the 2026 regular season is finally set to kick off. Welcome back to the first episode of the Bills Roundtable Podcast of the 2026 season. While it's technically episode 47, it's the first of a new era for hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin.

What started together halfway through the 2025 season will be here from the start and all the way through 2026. Bringing you weekly recaps of the games, previewing what's to come, and giving you our thoughts on everything happening in the world of Buffalo Bills football.

And that starts now.

The Bills head to Houston for a potential AFC playoff preview against the Texans. This will be the third year in a row that Buffalo travels to Houston, and they're hoping for a different outcome after two straight one-score losses. In fact, the Bills have struggled against the Texans over the past 16 years, winning only twice in nine games. The last win came in 2021 when Buffalo beat Houston 40-0.

Fast-forward to 2026, and the Bills have Super Bowl aspirations under new head coach Joe Brady. But what are their chances to start the season out with a win?

Mike and Anthony preview the game in Houston, looking at every aspect of the Bills roster. From the first unofficial depth chart to who needs to step up in Week 1. Plus, they both run through their keys to the game heading into Sunday.

Elsewhere, the guys talk about the choices for team captain and run through their predictions for the Bills' final 2026 record. After both predicting at 13-4 season for Buffalo earlier this offseason, how much has changed or will they still be fighting for a top record in the conference?

Finally, let's already look ahead to the playoffs. Will the Bills be the AFC's number one seed? And who will make it to the playoffs out of both the AFC and NFC.
