Defensive Backs At The NFL Draft: Bills Roundtable Podcast Episode 27

Can you believe that the 2026 NFL Draft is only a week away? I know, I can't either. 

But it's true. In just over a week from the time this goes live, the NFL world will descend on Pittsburgh as 257 players hear their names called to become professional football players. 

For the Buffalo Bills, provided they keep all of the picks they currently have, they'll be adding seven young men to the roster. 

Over the last few weeks, listeners of the Buffalo Bills Roundtable Podcast have heard us take a look at wide receivers, linebackers, defensive tackles, and edge rushers. But now, as we wind down our prospect previews, it's time to look at the defensive backfield. 

Safety and cornerback might not look like pressing needs this year for Buffalo after the additions in free agency, but the draft is all about preparing for the future. The Bills no longer have Taron Johnson in the nickel, and the new safeties, Geno Stone and C.J. Gardner-Johnson, are signed for only a year. 

So, as any good general manager should do, Brandon Beane has to prepare for what's next for the Bills.
