Week 1: at Houston Texans

The Patriots reminded everyone in 2025 that they're once again a force in the AFC, winning the AFC East before advancing to the Super Bowl. If the Bills are going to reclaim the division crown in 2026, chances are they'll need to win in Foxborough.
The timing only adds to the significance. Coming one week after Buffalo hosts Kansas City on Thanksgiving, this road trip will be a defining moment of the season. Consecutive victories over the Chiefs and Patriots would strengthen Buffalo's case as the AFC's team to beat while putting them in an excellent position entering the final month.
A loss, however, could swing the AFC East race toward New England and force the Bills into catch-up mode with only a handful of games remaining.
