Bo Nix now has more comeback wins through his first three NFL seasons than any quarterback since 1970 after leading the Denver Broncos back from a 16-point halftime deficit against the Rams.
Bo Nix has developed a reputation for delivering when the Denver Broncos need him most.
Now he has a remarkable NFL record to back it up.
According to NFL on CBS, Nix has been part of 20 comeback wins through his first three NFL seasons, the most by a quarterback since 1970.
That moved Nix past former Seattle Seahawks and Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, who had 19 comeback wins over his first three seasons. Andrew Luck and Dak Prescott are tied for third with 18.
Nix reached the milestone after helping Denver erase a 16-point halftime deficit in Sunday's 30-26 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
The Broncos were shut out in the first half and trailed 16-0 before scoring 30 points after halftime.
Nix threw touchdown passes to Pat Bryant and Nate Adkins in the third quarter before Denver took its first lead on Talanoa Hufanga's 66-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth.
After the Rams went back in front, Nix drove the Broncos down the field and scored on a 1-yard run with 47 seconds remaining.
He finished 17 of 34 for 186 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while adding the game-winning score on the ground.
The comeback came just one week after Nix helped Denver rally from a 13-3 second-half deficit to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-13.
That made the Rams victory the first time in franchise history that the Broncos have overcome double-digit second-half deficits in consecutive games.
And Nix's late-game production extends well beyond the first three games of this season.
Pro Football Reference credits Nix with 10 career fourth-quarter comebacks and 12 game-winning drives in the regular season. He has already recorded two of each through Denver's first three games this year.
Since the start of the 2025 season, Nix also ranks first in the NFL in fourth-quarter comebacks, game-winning drives and total touchdowns when trailing by one score, according to the Broncos' official website.
The numbers help explain why Nix remained confident even after Denver's disastrous first half against Los Angeles.
"It's just a good team win, a good team finish — and that just kind of feels like our DNA," Nix said after the victory.
The Broncos would certainly prefer to stop putting themselves in positions where they need so many rallies. Coach Sean Payton made that clear after Sunday's comeback.
But when they have needed one, Nix has already shown an unusual ability to deliver.
Through just 37 regular-season starts, he now has a comeback résumé that no quarterback since 1970 has matched through his first three seasons.
