Broncos poised to clinch AFC West title, ending Chiefs' reign. See the surprising prediction and what's next for Denver.

The Denver Broncos enter Week 14 with a 10-2 record, a first place spot in the AFC West and just behind the New England Patriots for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

The Broncos face the 2-10 Las Vegas Raiders, so getting win No. 11 is very likely, barring a shocking turn of events.

At this rate, it would be surprising to see Denver not win the division, but you can never count out Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report made new division predictions as of December. And, he pegged the Broncos to win the AFC West.

"Who'll Win It: Denver (13-4), with Kansas City finishing 10-7 and Los Angeles finishing 9-8," Gagnon wrote.

The Chiefs surge and get into the playoff picture, and the Chargers drop and might flirt with just missing out, depending on how things go.

But, here is why Gagnon thinks Denver will win.

"Even if you don't fully believe in the Broncos, this race is over. Denver is still strong enough to win two or three more games (it has just two more road games), and the gap to Kansas City is too large for the Chiefs to really make it interesting," he continued.

As for the Chargers, they started off on a strong note, but the schedule is unfavorable for Jim Harbaugh's team going forward.

"What about the Chargers? They're lucky to be in the picture thanks to one of the weakest schedules in football, but that's about to change. In fact, based on the ESPN Power Index, the roughed-up Bolts have the most difficult remaining schedule in the league. I doubt they win more than another game or two."

Getting another win against an AFC West foe will be important. After Week 14, the Broncos face the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chief and Chargers, so things get very difficult over the final four games.

But, Sean Payton's team should feel good about getting the AFC West crown this time and ending the Chiefs run.
