The Denver Broncos' training camp is well underway, and head coach Sean Payton is reportedly on a mission to recruit one of his old friends.

The Denver Broncos' training camp is in full swing, and the team had a brief scare in Tuesday's practice.

Linebacker Nik Bonitto left practice early on Tuesday, Aug. 4, after sustaining some injury, but reportedly walked off the field on his own.

After the news broke, head coach Sean Payton told the media that "he'll be fine," meaning Bonitto likely didn't continue to practice out of caution, not inability.

Randy opens this week's episode of Roundtable's Broncos podcast, addressing the situation and telling everyone not to worry about what initially appeared to be a serious injury.

Regardless, Bonitto's scare in practice Tuesday does not seem to be one that fans or the team will be concerned with moving forward.

Mike segways into another injury scare to center Luke Wattenberg, which occurred on the first day that Denver practiced in full pads. Eric mentions that, similarly to Bonitto, Payton said that the center "will be fine."

Both of these brief scares highlight something deeper, though, as Eric notes on the podcast. Despite Bonitto and Wattenberg ending up okay, things can turn around very quickly before the season even starts.

Next, Mike acknowledges offensive tackle Garrett Bolles' recognition among his peers, earning a spot on the NFL's Top 100 list. The OT came in at No. 42 in this year's ranking, which was voted on by players across the NFL.

Moving on to some other training camp news, Payton has made headlines this week as a potential union is on the horizon. The Broncos' head coach will be attending his former quarterback, Drew Brees, Hall of Fame induction ceremony this upcoming weekend. While there, Peyton is allegedly going to be recruiting tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill, whom he coached in New Orleans years ago.

Whether Payton can convince Hill to suit up for one more season remains to be seen, but the story is certainly one of the most exciting updates to follow.

Randy then discusses the backup QB battle, which is between Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger. The former was given the first chance at receiving second-team reps, but Ehlinger was given a shot just days after.

Stidham also had many highlights coming out of camp and eventually returned to the second team after Ehlinger's brief stint at the position.

Throughout the offseason, our trio has been keeping tabs on who will back up Bo Nix, and the battle still appears to be a close one.
