The Denver Broncos can't score or move the football, so this list isn't exactly surprising.

The Denver Broncos got a win against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but the 17-14 overtime victory wasn’t pretty. The defense essentially won the game for the Broncos, so it’s not exactly surprising that all of the fallers in the weekly stock report from Sam Jane of the Denver Post fell on the offensive side of the ball

Bo Nix, QB

As quarterbacks go these days, there’s bad, there’s worse and there’s Bo Nix. He’s been called out by every local and national expert, and the national folks especially weren’t kind, as former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick called Nix’s performance against the Seahawks “garbage.”

The other damning stat is that two of the worst performances of Nix’s career have come in the last two weeks, but the latest news on Nix has coach Sean Payton saying he won’t bench Nix. Payton still thinks he can fix Nix by focusing on the details and elevating some of what’s going on around the quarterback, which isn’t going to do much to take the heat off the coach or the quarterback.

Broncos wide receivers

These first two are connected. Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton have both been frustrated, and they’re also both off to the slowest start of their respective careers. That has the locals questioning Waddle’s hands and Sutton’s speed, which isn’t a good place to be at all. Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant and Marvin Mims Jr. haven’t distinguished themselves, either, so there’s not a lot to like in this group as a whole right now.

Payton’s play calling

The head coach set himself up to be a white knight when he made this move before the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but we’re still seeing the same problems from the offense. A typical drive typically consists of a two-yard run, another two-yard run and a horizontal pass that doesn’t go anywhere, with various other flavors of mad thrown into the mix as well. Can you even remember the last time the Broncos hit a big play that's stood out?

Tight ends

The Broncos got a brief flash of hope when Evan Engram showed up and made a couple of big plays, but he caught only two passes on Thursday night against the Seahawks. Adam Trautman is a blocker who occasionally comes up with a big catch, but that part of his game has been missing lately. The Broncos cut Justin Joly at the end of training camp, and this entire position group is starting to look like a washout this season.
