Talanoa Hufanga became just the fifth safety in NFL history with two interceptions, a sack and a pick-six in the same game during the Denver Broncos' comeback win over the Rams.

Talanoa Hufanga didn't just help the Denver Broncos complete another dramatic comeback Sunday night. He made NFL history in the process.

Hufanga became just the fifth safety in league history to record at least two interceptions, a sack and a pick-six in the same game during Denver's 30-26 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

According to the Associated Press, Hufanga joined Charles Woodson (2009), Aeneas Williams (2003), Reggie Tongue (2001) and Johnnie Johnson (1983) as the only safeties to accomplish the feat.

Hufanga finished with five tackles, three passes defensed, two interceptions and a sack, with his biggest plays coming at critical moments.

With Denver trailing 19-16 late in the fourth quarter, Hufanga intercepted Matthew Stafford and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown to give the Broncos their first lead.

It was a dramatic turnaround after Hufanga had similar opportunities earlier in the game.

"I had two opportunities earlier in the game, and I dropped them," Hufanga said, according to the Broncos' official website. "Just trying to stay patient, and I knew the opportunities were going to come."

The Rams responded to Hufanga's touchdown by retaking the lead, but Bo Nix scored on a 1-yard run with 47 seconds remaining to put Denver back in front.

Hufanga then made one more play to seal it.

Stafford drove Los Angeles to the Denver 14-yard line in the closing seconds before Hufanga intercepted him again in the end zone on the game's final play.

The two interceptions came during a second-half defensive effort that helped Denver overcome a 16-point halftime deficit and improve to 2-1.

Hufanga also recorded a key third-down sack earlier in the fourth quarter that forced Los Angeles to settle for a field goal.

Broncos coach Sean Payton awarded Hufanga a game ball after the win. Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto also said the performance was a glimpse of what Denver has already seen from the safety in practice.

"Things we've seen in practice finally coming to fruition in the game," Bonitto told the Broncos' official website. "He's been a big-time blitzer for us, and now he's ... being able to capitalize on these turnovers."

Hufanga earned second-team All-Pro honors during his first season in Denver in 2025.

His second season now includes a performance that only four other safeties in NFL history can match.
