The Denver Broncos will take a 4-2 record into a home matchup against the feisty New York Giants in Week 7.

The Broncos are coming off an ugly 13-11 win over the winless New York Jets in London last week and without the star-studded defensive effort from Denver’s amazing unit, the Broncos would have lost that game.

The offense just wasn’t getting anything going for the most part, especially on the ground. Running back J.K. Dobbins was practically invisible with just 40 rushing yards against a weak Jets run defense.

Quarterback Bo Nix had a clean game, but the production was nothing crazy; he completed 19 of 30 passes for just 174 passing yards and a touchdown with 24 rushing yards on five carries.

Star receiver Courtland Sutton had a rough game against the Jets, posting just one catch for 17 yards. ESPN’s Eric Moody thinks Sutton is in for a big performance on Sunday.

“Broncos WR Courtland Sutton finished with a disappointing 2.7 fantasy points in Week 6 due to a combination of facing Jets' Sauce Gardner and the game script,” Moody wrote Friday. “However, he had 17 or more fantasy points in each of the three previous games. Sutton is QB Bo Nix's No. 1 receiver and should bounce back nicely against a Giants defense that has allowed the most receiving yards and the third-most fantasy points per game to WRs.”

Head Coach Sean Payton needs much more from his offense, and they will have to fix some of their silly mistakes against a hungry Giants defense coming off a nice performance against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Payton would rather not rely on his top defense, but the defense will need to stand tall against rookie QB Jaxson Dart.

“[Jaxson] Dart will be the second of the two QBs selected in the first round of the 2025 draft to face the Broncos' defense this season,” ESPN’s Jeff Legwold wrote Friday. “Denver vexed Titans QB Cam Ward in Week 1, as the Broncos limited him to 12-of-28 passing for 112 yards and sacked him six times. The Broncos lead the league in defensive EPA, sacks (30), third-down defense and red zone defense, and they are No. 2 in scoring defense. This game features two of the four most penalized teams in the league -- the Giants are tied for second, the Broncos are fourth -- and that can always muddy the waters.”

According to ESPN Research, Dart is one of two players this season with 150 passing yards and 50 rushing yards in consecutive games. If he does it this week against Denver, it would be the longest streak in Giants history.
