The Denver Broncos have plenty of talent in this year's NFL Top 100 list, which bodes well for the team as they enter the final week of preseason, inching closer to the regular season.
The Denver Broncos have reason to celebrate this week, with yet another member of the team cracking the NFL Top 100 list.
Coming in at No. 10 in this years edition on the list, cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
The 26-year-old was the sixth Broncos player to make the list, joining linebacker Nik Bonitto at No. 32, offensive tackle Garrett Bolles at No. 42, quarterback Bo Nix at No. 59, wide receiver Courtland Sutton at No. 68 and defensive lineman Zach Allen at 73.
Mike discusses the talent ahead of Surtain in the ranking and why it makes sense that he wasn't closer to the No. 1 spot.
While Randy initially predicted the cornerback to land at No. 3, there's still some excitement for his placement. Our hosts are all happy to see him crack the top-10 regardless.
Moving on to Denver's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, fans finally got to witness the first of many completions from Nix to newly acquired wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Despite the 33-13 loss, watching the connection that Bo and Waddle had together was enough to excite the fanbase.
Looking at the game as a whole, Eric discusses how well the Broncos' first-team looked in the bout, plus dives into what went wrong in the loss.
Although it's only preseason, Eric wishes we saw more from the second unit, who only scored a measly three points.
Mike doesn't believe QB Jarrett Stidham looked great which leads to Randy's prediction that the third and final game of the preseason now has massive implications on who could earn the QB2 spot; which is between Stidham and Sam Ehlinger.
Speaking of the competition on who makes the roster, our trio dives into the recent signings along with this year's rookie class for a conversation about the upcoming roster cuts, aiming to predict which fringe players make the 53-man roster.
The deadline for the roster cuts is Sunday, Aug. 30 at 6:00 pm EST. The Broncos' final preseason game is Friday, Aug. 28, meaning the team will have two days to mull over performances before having to make any final decisions.
Randy preps everyone on what to look for Friday, mentioning which players will likely touch the field and some players to watch out for between the Broncos and Minnesota Vikings.
