The Denver Broncos had a successful 2026 NFL Draft and even received a great update on quarterback Bo Nix's ankle to boot.

The Denver Broncos had a very strong 2026 NFL Draft class.

Denver initially had a first-round pick, but traded it away to the Miami Dolphins to acquire wide receiver Jaylen Waddle earlier this year, leaving the team with their first selection at No. 62.

Then, the Broncos traded away the No. 62 pick to the Buffalo Bills for No. 66 and a sixth-rounder, No. 182 overall.

Eric goes into detail about the trade back, and explains why Broncos fans should love the move, which allowed Denver to select the player that they had been eyeing as well as pick up an additional selection with that sixth-rounder.

The Broncos drafted defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim from Texas A&M, a pick that both the team and our trio are very happy with.

On the topic of Onyedim, Mike mentions how the franchise doesn't expect any rookies to have a starting spot in the 2026-27 season, but Onyedim could be the one exception.

Randy doubles down as well, believing that the defensive end might get a few snaps as a starter.

Moving on to round four, the Broncos selected two players -- running back Jonah Coleman out of the University of Washington and offensive lineman Kage Casey out of Boise State. Randy provides an analysis of both picks, and the trio breaks down what they expect out of the two rookies next season.

Mike, Randy and Eric give a full breakdown of the Broncos' draft class, so be sure to listen to the full podcast for an in-depth review and analysis of each pick and a prediction of how the rookie could impact Denver's 2027 season and beyond.

Moving away from the NFL Draft, Broncos fans finally received a positive update on star quarterback Bo Nix and his ankle injury. The 26-year-old notably finished the AFC Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, but news broke after the game that he had sustained a fractured ankle -- putting him on the sideline for the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Nix had a "clean up" procedure, and has been given a green light to be ready for the upcoming season.

Mike doesn't believe we will see Nix week 1, however, and thinks the Broncos will take his recovery slowly to ensure there are no other hiccups as the team gets him back to his peak form.
