The Denver Broncos had a successful NFL Draft, as well as a rookie minicamp last week, which has led to a lot of young talent making noise within the organization.
Getting another week closer to the 2026-27 NFL season provided Denver Broncos fans with another update on quarterback Bo Nix.
Head coach Sean Payton claims that Nix will be "ahead of schedule" for participating in training camp, and there's a chance that the QB could participate in portions of the offseason program in June, as discussed on this week's episode of the podcast.
Last week, the NFL held rookie minicamps, but Denver ultimately did not offer any contracts to the undrafted players. Randy notes that he would've liked to see the Broncos sign another quarterback, and hopes that the team does land one more ahead of the summer. With Nix still rehabbing and Jarrett Stidham as the No. 2 option, he's asking for some competition at No. 3 on the depth chart.
This sparks a debate between Mike, Randy and Eric about who the Broncos could, or should, look to target to ignite a fierce competition behind Stidham. Listen to the full episode to hear some of the names that were thrown out, and leave a comment below on who you'd like to see get the third QB spot on the roster.
Eric takes a deep dive into the rookie minicamp and the options available to the Broncos, highlighting that there are a lot of depth options at Denver's disposal, and Mike follows it up with some wide receivers that could make the 53-man roster.
There will be a lot of discussions about who will make the cut ahead of next season, and a storyline to follow for all Broncos fans who want to stay updated on the franchise's offseason journey.
Our trio go over some names to keep an eye on, with a few WRs and running backs leading the charge.
Staying on the offensive side of the ball, Denver's sole round five pick in this year's NFL Draft, tight end Justin Joly, was reportedly making waves at minicamp last week.
Joly currently has Even Engram and Adam Trautman ahead of him on the depth chart, but Eric lists him as a name to watch out for.
Eric, Mike and Randy conclude this week's episode with a thorough analysis of some of the rookies to watch out for, and where they could fit on the current roster. Be sure to give the full episode a listen, and leave any thoughts in the comment section below.
