The 12-3 Denver Broncos have stampeded their way into the league’s elite in 2025, sharing the NFL’s best record with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. With this dominance, it’s no surprise that the Broncos will have six players representing the Mile High City at the Pro Bowl this year.
Edge Nik Bonitto, guard Quinn Meinerz, tackle Garett Bolles, and cornerback Pat Surtain II have been named starters for this year’s Pro Bowl in San Francisco. They’ll be joined by edge Zach Allen and receiver Courtland Sutton on the bench.
There could be even more Broncos representation than the previously mentioned six, however. Quarterback Bo Nix, safety Talanoa Hufanga, linebacker Alex Singleton, fullback Adam Prentice, special teamer Devon Key, and returner Marvin Mims were all named as Pro Bowl alternates. If players decline their Pro Bowl invitation due to playing in the Super Bowl, injury, or another reason, alternates will fill in for them.
Denver is already tied for the most Pro Bowl players this season with their six, tied with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Ravens. If an alternate is chosen, the Broncos would be leading the league in Pro Bowlers.
It’s deserving for each of the confirmed and alternate selections, as the Broncos are one of the deepest and strongest teams in football. It hasn’t been a one-man show in Denver; it has team wins to thank for its league-leading 12 wins in 15 games.
From late-game comebacks to blowouts, the Broncos have continuously found ways to get wins at all costs this season. On both sides of the ball, Broncos players have stepped up in key moments and successfully built off their return to the postseason during the 2024 season. Hufanga and Prentice have both been named alternates in their first season with Denver, highlighting the front office’s success in bringing in talent that fits the roster and makes them better.
Despite how big an honor it is to be named a Pro Bowler and even an alternate, the hope is that there will be no Broncos playing in the game. Instead, the players and Broncos fans would much rather see Denver preparing for a Super Bowl matchup after a year in which they have leaped becoming a true contender. For now, they’ll have to focus on securing the AFC West and the No. 1 seed in the AFC to get the coveted bye in round one of the playoffs.
