The Denver Broncos aggressively land Jaylen Waddle, creating a potent No. 8-ranked receiver duo with Courtland Sutton, igniting Super Bowl hopes.

It was no secret that the Denver Broncos needed some help in their receiving room this offseason after major inconsistencies throughout the 2025 season. They went out and got some much-needed help, but it didn’t come from the expected place.

There was plenty of receiver talent in this year’s free agency pool. Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and Rashid Shaheed are just some of the names at the top of free agency’s boards, but the Broncos grabbed none of them. Instead, they went out and traded for Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle in an aggressive move.

They traded a significant package of draft picks for the 27-year-old – a first, third, and fourth-round selections in this year’s draft in exchange for Waddle and a fourth-rounder. Now, the Broncos have a very respectable one-two punch on the outside for quarterback Bo Nix as they look to make a Super Bowl push in 2026.

In Bleacher Report’s newest rankings of wide receiver duos in the NFL, the new pairing of Waddle and Courtland Sutton in Denver came at No. 8.

They may not immediately rank as one of the top five duos, but there’s no doubt that the offense in Denver just received a massive boost. Paired with their top-of-the-league defense, the Broncos head into 2026 even more dangerous than they left 2025.

Sutton was a Pro-Bowler for the second time in his career last season, catching 74 passes for 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns. At six-feet-four-inches, Sutton will continue to be a red zone threat that complements the shiftier game of Waddle.

Waddle heads to Denver after recording 64 receptions for 910 yards and six touchdowns for a poor Dolphins team in 2025. Though he couldn’t quite reach that 1,000-yard mark, Waddle did reach the threshold in each of his first three seasons. Now heading into his sixth season at 27, Waddle will be given a much better opportunity for success with a winning team in Denver that has Super Bowl aspirations.

The duo may not have the deepest list of accolades, only Sutton’s two Pro Bowls between the two of them, but they are sure to demand focus from the opposing defense week in and week out.

Their skill sets match well without being redundant. Their presence will force defenses to focus on two star-level receivers instead of just the one. With Nix still on his rookie contract and coming so close to the Super Bowl last season, the Broncos are going all in on this team. The start of the 2026 season can't come soon enough for Broncos fans.
