Browns Extremely Shorthanded for Week 18 Rematch With Bengals cover image

Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals Week 18 inactives revealed ahead of kickoff

The Cleveland Browns face an uphill battle against the Cincinnati Bengals for their regular-season finale, as a handful of notable players won't be available.

That list starts with the unfortunate absences of rookies Harold Fannin Jr. and Carson Schwesinger, both of whom were ruled out on Friday's end of the week injury report.

Fannin is dealing with a groin injury, which first flared up during a practice ahead of Week 17. He wound up playing against the Steelers regardless, but re-aggravated the groin on the opening series of the game after catching a touchdown pass. He was ultimately unable to practice ahead of Week 18.

The same goes for Schwesinger, who also missed each day of practice this week due to a quad and ankle injury. The former of those ailments seemed to really bother the UCLA product during the matchup with Pittsburgh. It wound up being too much to overcome as he was ruled out on Friday, then moved to the IR one day later.

Along with Fannin Jr. and Schwesinger, veteran tight end David Njoku was also ruled out for a fourth-straight week due to a knee injury. LB Winston Reid was the fourth player listed as out on Friday as he continued trying to make a return off the IR.

Cleveland initially listed three players as questionable in G Teven Jenkins, CB Myles Harden and C Kingsley Eguakun. Jenkins had his designation removed on Saturday after clearing the concussion protocol and will start at right guard for Cleveland.

Eguakun was ultimately deemed inactive leading up to kickoff. Harden, however, will go for the Browns.

Cleveland's full list of inactives includes:

TE Harold Fannin Jr.
T Jeremiah Byers
C Kingsley Eguakun
WR Jamari Thrash
TE David Njoku
DT Sam Kamara

For the Bengals, DT B.J. Hill entered Sunday as questionable due to an ankle injury that kept him out of practice two times this week. He'll officially play against Cleveland, though.

Cincy's Week 18 inactives features:

QB Jake Browning (emergency QB)
WR Charlie Jones
CB Josh Newton
S Daijahn Anthony
DE Joseph Ossai
TE Cam Grandy
DT Jordan Jefferson
