After missing three consecutive weeks with an elbow injury, veteran right tackle Jack Conklin will make a much-needed return to the field for the Cleveland Browns against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5.
Conklin first popped up on the injury report with the ailment before Week 2 of the season and ultimately missed the the team's matchup that weekend with the Baltimore Ravens. One missed game turned into three as Conklin went on to miss the subsequent matchups with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
Now, he'll return just as the Browns are making a pivotal quarterback change to rookie Dillon Gabriel. As a lefty-handed QB, Conklin will be responsible for protecting Gabriel's blindside against the Vikings.
After appearing on the injury report with a hamstring injury this week, CB Greg Newsome II joined Conklin with a questionable designation before Week 5. He is also active for the Browns.
Meanwhile, with veteran Joe Flacco slated to be the primary backup behind Gabriel, fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders will once again be listed as the team's emergency third QB for a fifth consecutive game.
