Blockbuster NFL Trade Idea Sends Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders to NFC Team

A blockbuster NFL trade idea sending Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders to the NFC has been created by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.

Here is the mock trade:

New England Patriots Get: WR Michael Wilson

Arizona Cardinals Get: QB Shedeur Sanders, WR Kayshon Boutte, Browns' 2027 4th-round pick

Browns Get: QB Jacoby Brissett, Patriots' 2027 3rd-round pick

According to Tony Rizzo of ESPN Cleveland, there have been "talks" regarding the "availability" of Sanders.

This trade idea gives Sanders a new start and brings Brissett to Cleveland to run Todd Monken's offense. Brissett is way better than Deshaun Watson and doesn't have off-the-field questions.

Sanders finished his rookie season with 1,400 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 169 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He went 3-4 as a starter.

A Colorado product, Sanders was named to the 2025 Pro Bowl as a replacement. He's one of the most popular players in the NFL because of his dad, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

For the Cardinals last season, Brissett put up 3,366 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns while completing 64.9% of his passes. He threw only eight interceptions.

A one-time Super Bowl champion, Brissett has 14,766 passing yards and 76 passing touchdowns in the NFL. He's a quality QB, something Cleveland hasn't had since Baker Mayfield.

Brissett is a sounder passer and leader than Watson, who has just one guaranteed year left on his deal. At this stage of their careers, Brissett is the more useful bridge QB for Cleveland.

Since making his Browns debut, Watson has posted a 33.1 Total QBR, the lowest among qualified passers. The odds of the former Houston Texans star turning back the clock after an Achilles tear are pretty low.

It will be interesting to see if the Browns trade Sanders. Cleveland already made one blockbuster deal this offseason, sending future Hall of Famer Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
