The Cleveland Browns' quarterback situation may be in flux at the moment, but they also have major issues with their receiving corps.
Jerry Jeudy had a miserable year in 2025, Cedric Tillman has shown very little and while Isaiah Bond has talent, he is obviously vastly unproven.
The Browns need to do something at the wide receiver position to make life easier for whoever will be under center next fall, whether that's Shedeur Sanders or someone else.
Unfortunately, top free-agent wide receivers are not exactly going to be flocking to Cleveland, so the Browns may have to peruse the trade market for answers. Unless, of course, they are relying solely on the NFL Draft.
During a recent appearance on 92.3 The Fan, Zac Jackson of The Athletic connected Cleveland to a very intriguing option: Jacksonville Jaguars wide out Brian Thomas Jr.
"I think the Browns should ask about Brian Thomas Jr.," Jackson said. "I don't know how realistic that is, but yeah."
The idea of the Jaguars trading Thomas seems farfetched, especially now that it looks like Travis Hunter will mostly be used as a cornerback moving forward.

The 23-year-old was selected by Jacksonville with the 23rd overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft and enjoyed a spectacular rookie campaign, hauling in 87 receptions for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Thomas then regressed considerably this past season, catching 48 passes for 707 yards and a couple of scores in 14 games.
Parker Washington actually led the Jaguars with 58 catches, and Jakobi Meyers was a major factor after heading to Jacksonville in a trade deadline move. The Jags also extended Meyers.
Still, that doesn't exactly make Thomas — who is under team control for three more years — expendable.
It certainly wouldn't hurt the Browns to call and ask about Thomas, but you have to imagine that the price tag would be extravagant, unless the Jaguars are so down on Thomas that they'd be willing to dump him (unlikely).
There should be some other options for Cleveland to consider, but again, if the Browns want an impact receiver, it will most likely have to come via the trade market rather than free agency.
