The Cleveland Browns have been connected to a significant trade.
The Cleveland Browns have one of the worst offenses in football right now, and their woes go beyond the quarterback position.
Yes, the Browns have worked hard to improve their offensive line this offseason, but they are still severely lacking in terms of weapons, especially when it comes to the wide receiver position.
Cleveland is expected to select a receiver at some point in the NFL Draft, and that could happen as soon as the sixth overall pick when Ohio State star Carnell Tate could be on the board.
However, the Browns may also want to consider adding a proven talent to their receiving corps, and Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport has linked them to a very compelling trade target in that regard: Jacksonville Jaguars star Brian Thomas Jr.
While Davenport calls a Thomas trade "unlikely," especially with Travis Hunter moving to cornerback full time, trade speculation has circulated around Thomas for quite some time now, so Davenport isn't entirely ruling it out.
"If a wideout-needy team is willing to gamble Thomas can recapture his 2024 form and pony up that first-round pick (plus), the Jaguars would be well-served to at least listen," Davenport wrote.

This is hardly the first time the Browns have been pitched as a possible landing spot for Thomas, who had a very disappointing 2025 campaign under first-year Jaguars head coach Liam Coen.
Thomas appeared to be on the verge of superstardom during his rookie season, hauling in 87 receptions for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance. But this past year, he caught just 48 passes for 707 yards and a couple of scores as his targets were significantly slashed.
Some have surmised that Thomas is not quite on the same page as Coen, which is why a divorce could be possible.
Of course, Jacksonville would ask for a king's ransom in return for the LSU product considering he still has three years of club control remaining, and the Browns don't seem entirely likely to match that asking price.
Regardless, it wouldn't hurt Cleveland to check in on Thomas to see if the former first-round pick could be had.
