Cleveland Browns first-round picks OT Spencer Fano and WR KC Concepcion both enter the NFL with questions. But both refuse to let them define their NFL careers.

Every NFL Draft prospect enters the NFL with some level of questions or concerns. The Cleveland Browns two newest members are no different.

On Thursday night, general manager Andrew Berry traded back, then used the No. 9 overall pick to select tackle Spencer Fano. The knock on the Utah product, his arm length.

At the NFL Combine, Fano's arms measured at 32 1/8". That's considered undersized for an NFL tackle. The standard is about 33, a mark he said he cleared when he was measured by both the Browns and the Steelers during the prdraft process.

Fano believes the data behind arm length is valid, but regardless of what his arm length really is, he isn't worried about it holding him back.

"I'm sure it has something to do with it. I mean, I don't think people would make such a big deal out of it if it wasn't a thing," he said during his first press conference on Friday. "But I don't think anyone has the athleticism and the feet that I have. So I think in my case, I don't think it makes a big difference."

The Browns agreed. On Thursday night, Berry noted that when tackles struggle in the pros, it has less to do with their arm length and more to do with their feel, a lack of awareness, or a lack of a consistent anchor.

Meanwhile, Fano's relative athletic score was off the charts. Clocking a 4.91 forty, a 7.34 three-cone drill and elite vertical and broad jumps. The Browns are leaning into those traits over the physical ones with their new left tackle.

Then there's Concepcion, who has been highly scrutinized for his excessive number of drops in college. The year-old posted a drop rate over 9% during the 2025 season with Texas A&M.

He's not running from the fact that it was a problem. He's also vowed to get it corrected.

"I just accept it," Concepcion asserted." I have had drops, but you know, it's more so concentration. Just focusing on the balls. So you know, I've been working nonstop at it every day. It's going to get fixed for sure."

Flaws and all, Fano and Concepcion are expected to be cornerstones at the forefront of Todd Monken's offensive rebuild.

And that's the beauty of the NFL Draft. Something that may have defined a player in college doesn't have to in the NFL.
