Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced his starting QB for next week.

After the Cleveland Browns lost to the San Francisco 49ers, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced his starting QB for next week against the Tennessee Titans.

Stefanski is sticking with Shedeur Sanders.

The Browns lost to the 49ers by a final score of 26-8. Sanders went 16-25 through the air for 149 yards and one touchdown. He was sacked three times and came out of the game briefly after getting hurt.

Cleveland is 3-9 on the season. The franchise will miss the playoffs again.

Sanders entered the Browns-49ers game with 256 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions. He led Cleveland to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week by going 11-20 for 209 yards and one touchdown.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Browns are open to giving Sanders an extended look as the starting QB for the rest of the season. The rest of the campaign will be used to determine if Sanders has what it takes to be a franchise QB.

If he doesn't, Cleveland will probably draft a QB in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Multiple NFL execs spoke to Jeff Howe of The Athletic about Sanders after his first NFL start against the Raiders. Here's what they had to say:

"I would definitely play it out for a while and see what you have with him."

"He looked fine, like he's got a chance (to be a starter). He made a couple of nice plays and throws; he also had a few rookie mistakes."

"I'll give him credit. He's tough, just like he was in college."

"I like his confidence. It doesn't turn me off at all."

Let's see how Sanders does against the Titans next week.
