Last offseason, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett demanded a trade and appeared to be done with the only NFL franchise he had ever known.
However, in March, Garrett ultimately agreed to a massive four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Browns, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback ever (at the time) and placing him under wraps through 2030.
But with Cleveland floundering yet again and Garrett's frustration building, the 30-year-old is once again being floated in trade speculation.
Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon has named Garrett among a handful of surprise trade candidates this offseason, and he specifically mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as the top landing spot.
In fact, Gagnon proposed a deal in which the Browns would send the single-season sack champion to the Eagles in exchange for defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
"Garrett broke the single-season sack record despite the fact that the Browns won just five games in 2025," Gagnon wrote. "By the time this rebuilding team is potentially competitive again, the 30-year-old will likely be well beyond his prime and unaffordable."

Not only that, but the former No. 1 overall pick will carry cap hits of $64.9 million and $58 million over the final two years of his deal.
The Browns would actually stand to benefit to trade Garrett now so long as the return is right, and Carter would definitely be a nice piece to reap. Of course, Cleveland would surely ask for more than just Carter.
It should also be noted that Carter has just two years remaining on his own deal (including a $27 million fifth-year option for 2027) and will be due for an extension himself, so this would still be rather costly for the Browns.
Garrett racked up 60 tackles, 23 sacks and 39 quarterback hits in 2025, earning his second Defensive Player of the Year award in three seasons.
The Texas A&M product has made seven Pro Bowls since entering the league in 2017 and has also rattled off eight straight double-digit sack campaigns.
We'll see if Cleveland entertains the thought of trading Garrett in the coming weeks.
