After winning their second straight game, the Cleveland Browns have jumped up eight spots in a new power rankings.
After a poor performance in Week 1 of the NFL season, many people believed that it would be more of the same for the Cleveland Browns in 2026.
But over the last two weeks, the Browns have bounced back fully, winning two straight games in the process. Cleveland took down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 and then the team defeated the Carolina Panthers in Week 3 to open their year at home.
While neither win was the most convincing, for this franchise that has suffered for years, a win is a win. Additionally, quarterback Deshaun Watson has saved his job for a few more weeks due to the victories, even if he hasn't played that well.
Due to the success, there is a lot of excitement in Cleveland right now, and the team is feeling confident heading into Week 4. But before that game happens, the Browns have now been placed in a new power ranking by Bleacher Report.
After being ranked at No. 28 a week ago, Cleveland has jumped up eight spots in this week's edition after taking down the Panthers. The Browns are now ranked No. 20 in the power rankings, showing steady improvement this season.
Cleveland will be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, with the game being on primetime. The two teams will play on Thursday Night Football, giving the Browns a chance to make a massive statement in front of a national audience.
Since 2019, the Browns have gone 6-1 against the Steelers at home, giving some thought to another win. But of course, Cleveland will have to go out and earn a win, which could see them move to 3-1 for the year.
Many people have doubted this team, including both Watson and head coach Todd Monken. But the Browns are looking like a decent team this season, with the defense playing very well through the first few games of the year.
If the Browns defense can pressure Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they could create some problems for Pittsburgh. Cleveland is at its best when they can get to the quarterback, disrupting the opposing offense.
This game against Pittsburgh could play a big role in how the AFC North turns out for both teams. Cleveland will be looking to steal another win, giving thought to a potential postseason run if they can keep up the strong play.
Kickoff for the game on Thursday will take place at 5:15 p.m. PT/8:15 p.m. ET from Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
